You are assuming that success and motivation are linked to the corporate world and that is not an assumption I make. Legacy can involve your role in the community, helping others, raising your family, or creative work, for example. Motivation can be to have a good quality of life, to leave the world a better place, or to be an inspiration to others. These are just some examples. My overarching point is that the typical responses to these questions that have been hi-jacked to fit the standard definition of success are not helping anyone.

Your second to last paragraph is exactly why I am writing about this topic. I agree and I’d love to see the potential that could be opened up by addressing this issue.
